Beanies and headbands "Made in Europe”

One of the core industries that had a great influence on the prosperity of our society in the last 150 years in our latitudes was the knitwear industry. From the Swabian Alb deep into the south of Bavaria and Baden Württemberg and up to the Bavarian border regions with the Czech Republic, many small specialists have become suppliers to the textile industry, which became important pillars of German industrial history in the 1960s and 1970s.

With globalization and the advancing mechanization in the textile industry, many of these manufactories and imaginative inventors could no longer keep their companies due to the labor-intensive work and had to watch as much know-how and orders flowed to Asian countries. Also, the focus of the entire textile industry on products from Asia, has almost cost a complete industry in the 90s head and neck.

Nevertheless, at the beginning of our development of Earebel, we found some capable knitters and knitting mills in Germany, who helped us a lot with our first steps in the textile industry and with whom we still maintain intimate relationships today. Through these partnerships and the growing demand for our products, we have come to know some of the best and most professional European knitting mills over the last few years, and we have been happy customers there for many years now. For us at Earebel it is very important not only to think and work in a sustainable way in many areas, but also to maintain the work with regional, respectively European partners and if it is up to us, we would also like to expand it further. Of course, we are also "caught" in the global cycle of procurement and material availability, but we try to generate the maximum of added value and development regionally, focused on Europe.

For many years, we have had a professional and friendly relationship with our Polish "main producer" and are not only among the world leaders in knitting technology and finishing, but also in terms of delivery and sampling of customer projects and new ideas, there is no better partner in the world than our Polish friends. We are proud to work with such experienced engineers and textile technicians and use Oeko-Tex® wherever possible.
